These terms and conditions apply if you use the Innovation Funding Service (IFS) to apply for Horizon Europe guarantee funding.
The guarantee was initially launched in November 2021 as a short-term measure, but due to delays to the UK’s association, the guarantee will continue issuing grants into 2023. With the UK government implementing a new subsidy regime in January 2023, we determined that the extension to the guarantee that launched in December 2022 should be treated as involving subsidies. While this will be reflected in the terms and conditions of a UKRI grant under the guarantee, we do not anticipate this having an impact on the scale of funding, or how it can be spent.
