Global alliance for chronic diseases

MRC, through the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases, supports and funds research projects that focus on the prevention and management of chronic diseases in low and middle income countries.

The scope and what we're doing

The Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) brings together major international research funding agencies to address the growing burden of non-communicable diseases on low and middle income countries, and vulnerable populations in high-income countries.

Through the alliance, MRC supports and funds research projects that focus on the prevention and management of chronic diseases in low and middle income countries.
